It's sad to say that I am leaving this blog and transferring to a new one. It's not quite as exciting because I have marked a lot of memories in this blog but I really wanted one where I can spend less time in trying to organize my post and more time in doing what I actually want. I wanted a more hassle-free blogging and multiply does not seem to satisfy my needs... However, this blog will not be forgotten. I will keep this so I can continue cherishing those memories. Please visit my new blog @

Oh My Freaking God! I have been slacking off with writing movie reviews but I really cannot pass this out. This movie is amazing! If you think you've seen the most of special effects, you've never... until you see this movie!!! However unrealistic it is it looks so realistic when you see it on the big screen!

Me and my sister immediately thought of the movie as an allegory to the "New World" when when Native Americans were invaded by Europeans in what we call as the United States of America now. It was a very interesting culture that this movie presents. I forgot what the blue people were called (Na'Vi). It was a really interesting culture, beliefs and norms. The screenplay was superb, very very excellent. Although I know that a lot of people thought that the plot was too cliche but... what the hell? what kinda plot do you want? I haven't seen any good fantasy drama in a while until this.

There was a point in the movie that I thought was kinda lengthy... almost boring but I believe the length was necessary to build the sequence of events in the ending. I do believe that every part of the movie is essential to building the whole masterpiece. I did not see anything that the producers could have left out.

Another thing is the sceneries, very scenic views!!! I love 'em. Most of it almost reminds me of Final Fantasy, especially the creatures/monsters.

All in all, THE MOVIE WAS SOOO AWESOME!!! I was having a blast watching the action scenes at the end! They were phenomenal!!!

This movie is definitely one that I would remember for a long long time. 10 stars!

Two weeks until Finals Week!!! I gotta start cutting off being online too much. I gotta stop slacking and do some studying right away. I have been debating on whether to switch to another blogging website/tool/host but I do not want to loose all my blog entries in here. I also do not think there is any way I can export all my entries to another blog. The reason why I don't like multiply now is because of the ads on top. They are such a distraction and pure ugliness and I don't feel like paying $20 a year just to take them off when I can get ad-free blogging for free from other sites. Please any suggestions are welcome. I'm gonna definitely decide on this one after the finals. For now, I would like to read some opinions/suggestions. Thank you. Happy Holidays! - ysha

I learned a lot of interesting things from this one lecture during our Psychiatric clinical this Tuesday. The person who presented was a retired police officer who now works in the Special Victims Crime Unit. It was a very interesting lecture.

One of the things I learned is that there is a website where you can check the names of sex offenders around your area. Every 12 months sex offenders are required to register to be placed in the Megans Law list. It is mandatory, sort of like a punishment that they have to face. It is also made for the safety of people living around them. The website even shows a close up photo identification. This one is for the state of Pennsylvania. http://www.pameganslaw.state.pa.us

So I thought that it is a very good idea to check who are on the list around my area. I put my zipcode in and I was dumbfounded to see the long list of sex offenders around my area. Definitely very disturbing.

Anyway, my life is composed of mainly school right now. I feel like I have a hundred million stressors in my life. My lifestyle is definitely not awesome at the moment. I don't exercise. I don't eat healthy foods... and I stress a lot about school. I am glad that I still do not have lovehandles and flabbies. Hopefully, I will not have them at all in the future.

Oh! Yesterday, me and my boyfriend went to the BodyWorlds exhibit in the Franklin Institute Museum. The exhibition shows real preserved bodies, skeleons, muscles, organs and everything human, even fetuses (which some people might perceive as disturbing). It was definitely very interesting. I would recommend everyone to check it out.

I really want to watch this movie not just because Mariah Carey is there but because it looks really interesting. It's based on a novel titled Push by Sapphire. Take a look at it.

I came up to a very interesting topic today while viewing a clip from the Tyra Banks show. Tell me what you think about it.

You can watch the other parts if you like but here's what I think about it. Who cares? Just let her do what she wants. It's her choice and atleast she gets a million bucks out of it. She thinks the benefits of being financially stable outweigh the risk of public humiliation. So just let it be. It's not worth a big fuss, really. It may just depend on how you can balance out things and people have their own different beliefs, values and mindset. She seems like a very well-educated woman who seem to value financial stability very very highly. So why roll your eyes and act like a super innocent person? I know everyone want's to be financially stable. That actually happens to be one of my biggest goals in life. On the other hand, if you think she's a role model, then you're just nuts... A much as her braveness seems exceptional, people should avoid risky behaviors as much as possible. Afterall, prostitution is still illegal in the United States.

Kashka's Birthday party was a huge success!!! To tell you the truth, it is very difficult for me to contain all the thoughts of having fun into a small corner in my mind to accommodate for other thoughts essential for passing nursing school. I just had my Epidemiology exam today and it was harder than I expected. Nonetheless, I think I passed.

There are many things going through my mind right now and it has been a while since I made my last blog entry. By the way, Paranormal Activity was not as scary as I thought it was. It was kind of a disappointment to me. Also, I cannot wait to see Prince of Persia next year! I want to see the Fourth Kind as well. It looks really freaky. I just hope it would not turn out into another disappointment.

Speaking of blogging, I am getting rather tired of multiply and I want to use an easier more efficient blogging tool. Should I try blogspot? or wordpress? What do you use? I want something that is very convenient and simple to use... something that i can pour my mind into and not worry about it looking pretty... I am open to any suggestions.

OMG. I cannot wait to watch Paranormal Activity! All my classmates who saw it said it was the scariest thing ever. I am so excited. I hope to see it on the big screen soon but Rich doesn't want to watch it. His excuse was that he is busy with work and such. He said he didn't want to feel disturbed and freaked out while the life of his patient was at his hands. Boo.. lol

I understand him... even though It's not as exciting when he's not there beside me while I'm watching a movie but oh well. So what I did is I acquired a copy of the original screening version. I really would do anything and everything to see this movie! I found out that the theatrical and original screening version have different endings. I am curious as to how the two versions are different.

Anyway, OMG I passed my Chronic Illness test! yay! I got an 87! It's because of the 17-point curve added to our grades. I'm guessing a lot of people failed. I would have failed without that curve, OH HOW HAPPY I AM! That was the hardest test I ever took in my life... -_-

These are the Geo lenses that I got in the mail today! I am so excited to try them out. Apparently, these lenses are quite popular in Asia, especially in Korea. I have got to try them out. I only got a pair and it is from the Nudy Series in the "Nudy Grey" color. I will try them on tomorrow and see how it looks on me. I'll also see if they are comfortable. I wouldn't wear these so often because I think they're not meant for daily use.
What you see inside the box.

Also gave me free hello kitty lens case!

Here are all the colors available in the Nudy Series. I got this pic somewhere on the internet.

Here are the heart swarovski crystals I got from ebay. They're really gorgeous and shiny! I love these. I wear them with my sterling silver necklace chain.

Never ending studying. I haven't been here in a while. My dream of becoming a nurse anesthetist is slowly becoming more and more complicated. I've been having thoughts and feelings of hopelessness and anxiety. I am still very very far from my dream... and I am still 18. If you guys would sacrifice 4 more years of hardwork to live a good debt-free life in the end, would you? I will... but I need as much motivation as I can. It's just too much.... Sometimes I think to myself.... other people my age just graduated from high school and is just starting to decide what they want to major at... and here I am already in that career path. I feel like a patient with terminal end-stage liver cancer... there's no other way out and you have to endure all the pain and anxiety before you rest in peace in the happy heavens. I have to endure these years of working in a critical care unit before I can apply to a graduate program and become a nurse anesthetist. Not that I am not interested in critical care but being a bedside nurse is just too much to handle.. something that I would not want to do for the rest of my adult years. I wanna be in the OR.. as a nurse anesthetist. That's who I wanna be.

I have to keep a positive spirit. I'll pass my Chronic Illness midterm this friday and get through nursing school. Wish me luck.

I was walking home today from school and I noticed that there are not a lot of people on the streets anymore. The weather is turning cold and gloomy and it might take a while for me to get used to it. I remember right before when spring started, I was very surprised to see tons of people on the streets and Temple students sunbathing on the lawns in front of the Beury hall and Paley library. Now, people are getting busier especially with school and just wants to relax inside the cozy comfort of their insulated homes, very much the same as me. I cannot wait until this cold weather is over, which will not be until about March or May, and by that time, my years of academic torture will finally come to an end. I am so busy with school work right now, I do not even have time for absolutely anything else at all. I kind of just decided to write on my blog another time to relax my mind. I have tons of workload to do and later I still have to go back to campus to have my senior portrait taken. I am behind 12 chapters on my readings and it just frustrates me. It's not because I've been lazy but because there is only so much I can handle with this ridiculous amount of projects, assignments and readings. Plus I still have to work to keep my externship.

Anyway, I won't complain anymore. My boyfriend finally got a position and will be working soon. It makes me happy to think that he finally belongs to the lucky number of people who got it through the massive hire freezes and not among the newly grads who still have no choice but to wait for job openings next year. However, that means we have less time to see each other. There is so many sacrifices we have to make to make our lives better in the future. He is considering the option of joining the airforce sometime in the future to have our expenses compensated such as mortgage and everything you can name under the sun (stuff that we have to worry about when we finaly have a family and grow old). That will probably be the biggest sacrifice I have to make... I will have to wait for approximately four years. I do not know how it is going to turn out. I always think that I am probably too young to think about it and that I should just live in the present and focus more in nursing school but I can't help it.

Anyway, i'll stop right here. I have more stuff to do. Write to you later..

Mr. Charlie was right, this is a really good movie. I just watched it today in the theater and I am so glad it was still showing on theaters. I didn't think this movie was going to be worth watching before because I always had a feeling that documentary-type movies would not turn out as successful anymore as it did before. I thought it would be too high of a risk to make such movies that can appeal to the general public but this one was wayyy better than Cloverfield. It's not even close. This movie was well-thought, well delivered. It's ironic to see how humanity can be such a dirty vicious thing. As I go along in watching this movie and witness different events unfolding, I can't help but think about important events in human history that are very similar and that probably served as references to the themes that are portrayed in this movie (eg. holocaust, japanese boot camps, segregation in the U.S.). I kept thinking that the aliens in this movie were just like humans speaking a different incomprehensible language. The only probable difference is that they're much stronger and have more advanced technology but that's beside the point. Maybe all I'm trying to say is, the themes that they brought up in this movie, they brought up very well. It makes you think how or why we as people are capable of carrying out unethical and destructive plans (Hitler?). The only thing that bothers me about this movie is that it brought up and portrayed a lot of ethical issues (eg. suddenly and recklessly deciding to dissect an infected human even though he is still in human state, authorities suddenly and brutally killing aliens who seemed harmless enough). It's just like dissecting or letting an HIV patient go on without treatment just to learn more about AIDS or like killing an illegal immigrant inside national border for no apparent reason. However, I think these ethical issues were necessary and quite vital to give life and meaning to the story so I really do not have real complaints. All in all, I thought this movie was great. 5 Stars! Amazing graphic effects and action-packed scenes. I'm so glad I watched it.
